Printing UPS Labels
To print labels including "Zones for UPS shipping follow the instructions on this Tech Note.
Ords menu > Search by Order #
Type in the desired Order Number and click the “OK” button. (or press the “Enter” key) The Order opens. Designate “UPS” (or UPS 2nd Day, etc.) as the shipper.
Locate the field for the input of the number of labels desired. The Order defaults to 1. If more labels are needed, type in the quantity.
A label can be printed immediately for this Order. If this is desired: Action menu > Print Labels.
Next choose "Single Label" from the box that opens. If you are processing a number of Orders and wish to print all the labels at one time, click the “OK” button to save the changes made to the Order. (the “Enter” key can be used also).
Follow these steps for each Order.
Ords menu > Show Open Orders > Actions menu > Search
Change the "Sets" Popup to“Search in Selection”. Create the Search conditions: “ShipVia” is equal to “UPS @”.
Click the “OK” button to initiate the Search.
A list of Orders that have been designated as UPS is displayed. At this point there may be some Orders in the list that were partially shipped earlier using UPS. They would be Orders that are waiting for "Backordered Items". You can take them out of your list by highlighting them and choosing : Actions menu >Omit Subset.
Next : File menu > Print Labels…. A dialog box opens asking if you desire Single or Multiple labels. If you have used the field designating more than one label for the Order, select “Multiple labels”. If you only need one for each Order, choose “Single label”.
The "Label Editor" opens. Next locate the desired label. Click on the “Load” button in the "Label Editor".
A “Get Box” opens for you to select the label needed. If needed, navigate to the “jit Label” folder. Be sure to select a label starting with [Order] and that it is the UPS Label and the correct size for the labels being printed on.
The preformatted label opens and is ready to print. Verify that the printer is on and ready. Click “Print”
