There is a difference between the Macintosh label editor and the Windows label editor. This Tech Note descibes thesteps for Label printing on the Windows platform.
Choosing "Print Labels" from the File Menu opens the 4D Label Editor if you are in an output screen. If you choose "Print Labels" from the Splash screen the File selection dialog box opens for selection of the desired file.
Adding Fields to the Label
The fields for the default file are displayed in the upper left of the screen.
1. Click on a field.
2. Click the New Line button to add the selected field on to the label at the upper right.
3. Click on the Add to Line button to add the field to the contents of the last line on the label.
4. Click on the Clear Last button to remove the last entry from the label.
Setting the Label Layout
The bottom of the Label Editor selects the number of labels on a sheet, fonts and print options.
Designing label counts can be complex. There are example labels at www.jitcorp.com which provide examples with the Avery Label #.
Load and Save
The Load and Save buttons allow you to save your labels and load a previously saved label.
