This Tech Note walks you throught the process of running "Tally Receivables", this process should always be done before printing statements.
Note:THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. ALWAYS TALLY RECEIVABLES IMMEDIATELY BEFORE PRINTING STATEMENTS.
Admin Dept > Tally menu > Tally Receivables.
When the "File Selection" box appears, click on "ALL".
Click on "OK" to open a box regarding setting" MTD Sales" to zero. Unless you are Tallying as part of "Month End Closing", click on" Cancel".
The Tally will take a few minutes. You will return to the Splash Screen or to a box stating records were "Locked". This box means that it could not update the balances of "Customer" records which were open during the "Tally".
List Customers to Receive Statements
Customers Menu > By Amount Receivable
If you do not choose to send statement to Customers with "Credit Balances", execute a "Search Selection" on "Balance Due" greater than "Zero".
You must choose "Search Selection" out of the Sets Popup before clicking on "Execute" in the "Search Editor".
Print the Statements
File Menu > Print Defined Report
Double-click the desired statement.
In the "Print Box", choose the Paper Source.
Click on "Print".
Review the statements after they have printed if desired.
