Quick Find for Customers, Leads, Contacts and Vendors
Access the "Quick Find" dialog. GOTO Sales Splash Screen >> Customer menu >> Find Customer. When Searching Customers, Contacts will be automatically Searched.
To find a record, follow these steps:
1. GOTO Sales Splash Screen >> Customer menu >> Find Customer. The "Quick Search" dialog box opens.
You can execute a search in Company, Name, Phone, Zip or Account.
To execute a "Search" type in the first few letters in the field. Press the "Tab" or "Return" key to initiate the Search. A list of options will appear in the box below of all the companies names that start with "S". Find the company you were Searching for.
In the first column under the "T" there will either be the letters "L" or "C". "L" means that they are leads. The "C" means that they are Customers.
When a single "Customer" record appears in the list, press the "Enter" key or double click the record to open it.
If a group of records is located, highlight the desired record and press the "Enter" key or double click the record to open it.
When a group of records is located, they are Sorted alphabetically by company name. They can be Sorted by one of the other fields that are displayed by clicking on the field Heading. The field Heading being used as the Sort is underlined.
Person Search: You would type in the first two letters of the last and of the first name. For example Bill James, you would put "Ja,Bi". In the Attn column all the names that start with "Bi" and end with "JA" will appear in the box below.
2. To add a Customer click on + Cust box. To add a Lead click on + Lead.
