Item Records now have the ability to be found by searching for keywords. There is an automated procedure for building keywords from the items product description. There is also a means of blocking mundane words from being added to the keyword lists.
A new page has been added to the item record; Keywords. This page displays the keywords for the current item record.
There is a button on that page to build keywords from the words in the items description field.
To block mudane or undesirable words from the keywords list:
1. Store a file in the jitPrefs folder named 'SuppressWords.txt'
2. In the text file 'SuppressWords.txt' list each word you do not want to become a key word. Place a Return character after each word, even the last word.
3. Edit this in any text editor or the word process built into the program.
It is possible to massively create keywords from the words in the item description.
1. For an individual item:
a. Go to the specific item.
b. Navigate to the Keywords page.
c. Click on the Create Keywords button.
2. For groups of items:
a. Create an output layout with the records to process in the current selection.
b. Execute the following script:
CONFIRM("Create Keywords for selected items")
If (Size of array(aTmp20Str1)=0)
CONFIRM("There is no 'Key_Items' file in jitPrefs, continue?")
vi2:=Records in selection([Items])
